Surgical Admissions

Surgical patients are generally admitted between 8-8:30am Monday through Friday.  For your convenience, your pet may be dropped off the evening before the scheduled procedure and boarded overnight.  If your pet is due to go home the same day that the procedure is performed, there is no additional charge for this service.

Any pet that may be undergoing an anesthetic procedure should be fasted prior to admission.  You should not feed your pet after 6pm the night before the procedure, and take the water away at bedtime.

Pets requiring blood testing should usually also be fasted for at least 12 hours.  Please call if you are unsure whether you need to fast your pet.

Boarding Admissions

Animals coming in for boarding may be dropped off between 8:30am and 7:30pm.  Please bring any medications your pet may require.  You are encouraged to bring your pet's regular food to avoid digestive disturbances from a different diet.  Blankets and special toys may be brought in, and while we try our best to have them clean and ready for you when you pick up your pet, occaisionally items do get misplaced or soiled.  Please do not bring in any items that are irreplaceable!

If you need an earlier or later admission time due to special circumstances, please call to let us know.

Releases

We ask that you not pick up your pet before 10am so that we can have your pet fed, clean and ready to go.  This also gives us an opportunity to have your bill prepared so you won't have to wait, and for hospitalized patients allows the veterinarian to examine your pet to be sure he or she is ready to go.

We also ask that you pick up your pet by 7:30pm in order for us to have time to complete any paperwork and answer any last-minute questions you may have.

If you need an earlier or later release time due to special circumstances, please call and let us know.
